Post Occupancy Evaluation Of Students’ Dormitory In Huaqiao University (Xiamen Campus)

Post-Occupancy Evaluation is a kind of information feedback from user’s perspective.By collecting the user’s POE of the building environment and feeding the information back to future optimization strategies or building plans for similar buildings,the architecture design becomes a long-term process of recycling,This dynamic design process can effectively improve the performance of the building itself.This paper uses the POE theory combined with the relevant statistical knowledge,investigates the use of students’ dormitory in Xiamen Campus of Huaqiao University,taking the satisfaction,comfort and the subjective tendency of the users as the main content.The results are as follows:Students’ satisfaction evaluation and comfort evaluation are in good condition;There is no difference in the satisfaction and comfort of students’ dormitory in different sexes.The degree of convenience of the dormitory has a greater impact on the overall evaluation of satisfaction.The environmental factors associated with the overall environment of the building and the user’s psychology are important factors in the evaluation of satisfaction;The visual environment of the dormitory has a greater impact on the overall evaluation of comfort;Spatial factor related to spatial scale is an important factor in comfort evaluation.In the subjective tendency survey,the majority of users tend to live in four,with a separate bathroom,semi-outdoor balcony of the corridor dormitory.The dormitory’s rest area demand is the highest.noise,lighting and the surrounding environment is the factors with more consideration by users in the dormitory.The users are more like warm and simple interior space effect and tend to use wallpaper to decorate the space.In the choice of facilities and equipment,the users’ demand for lockers is very obvious,they are more willing to use the overall furniture,squatting pan,air conditioning and self-purchase washing machine.This paper summarizes the design points of unit space,traffic space and publicspace,and makes the optimization of the original design,and puts forward the suggestions for the reference to the design of the student dormitory in Xiamen University.It is hoped that through the research of this paper,we can provide some help to the construction and design of student dormitory in our country.
