Research On Wooden Doors And Windows Of The Traditional Architecture In Coastal Area Of Southern Fujian

Coastal area of southern Fujian influenced by the Chinese traditional culture,foreign cultures and Marine culture.Due to its specific location,it becomes a fusion of multiculturalism,and forms the distinctive regional characteristics of the traditional Architecture.The wooden doors and windows play an important role in the traditional architecture,so the buildings can lived in,and also reflect the excellent traditional culture.This region still retains a large number of temples and traditional dwellings,and its wooden doors and windows showed great richness,they all contain the create wisdom.But with the economic development,many traditional wooden doors and windows even the traditional buildings are faced with the demolition.Now the research results are still less,many buildings can not be repair properly,caused many problems in protection of the estate.So it is necessary to study the wooden doors and windows of traditional architecture.This paper research the wooden doors and windows of cultural relics protection units,and through the literature analysis,investigation and interview,starting from the type,decoration and construction technology,study the wooden doors and windows of traditional architecture in the coastal area of southern Fujian.Firstly,The type rely on the investigation of cultural relics protection units,study the aspects of pattern,construction,component and scale.And,the decoration starting form the methods and patterns,study the using methods,meaning and rules.Then,construction technology rely on the investigation and interview with local traditional craftsman,record how to use the tools,the process and points,to explore the implication of its wisdom.At last,summarizes the wooden doors,windows and building skills,provided the reference for follow-up research and cultural relics protection work.
