Research On The Ground Pavement Of Traditional Buildings In The Coastal Areas Of Southern Fujian

Ground pavement technology has a long history,the rich wisdom of the ancients,and a strong climate suitability,which is a valuable asset in the development of architectural culture.In modern social life,compared with the wooden structure,wall and roof,the ground pavement is relatively independent,simple in construction,and the repair process has little impact on the overall building.It is the most frequently changed part of the traditional building,and also an important part of the protection and repair work.However,on the one hand,due to the public’s cognitive deviation of traditional buildings,lack of basis for repair design and construction,there are many irregular practices in the actual project,which has a negative impact on the ground pavement and overall style of cultural relics or historical buildings;on the other hand,at present,the materials and forms of traditional ground pavement are in a rapid loss in the process,the status quo is not optimistic.In addition,the special present research results for the ground pavement mainly focus on the northern official buildings,and there are few local research results of the southern Fujian area,so it is urgent to carry out systematic investigation and research.This paper takes the typical building cases of cultural relics protection units and traditional villages in the coastal areas of South Fujian as the research object,and carries out relevant research on the ground pavement of three types of buildings: residential buildings,ancestral halls and temples.Through literature review,physical investigation,craftsman interview,tracking engineering projects and other research methods,firstly this paper clarifies the materials of ground pavement in this area,and compares the basic characteristics of traditional materials and modern materials.Secondly it sums up forms of ground pavement and boundary treatment methods,and analyzes the general rules of ground paving in building function,material scale and space atmosphere,and records the construction process and relevant rules.At last it summarizes the characteristics of ground pavement,geographical distribution and existing problems.This paper hopes to improve the relevant research on the traditional architectural culture in southern Fujian,and provide reference for the renovation of traditional buildings,as well as research materials for the sustainable development of contemporary regional culture and modern architectural design.
