Researching Of Traditional Villages And Houses Of Guilin Area Basing On The Cultural Geography

Guilin area is located in the northeast of Guangxi, belonging to the Xijiang River Basin and the Zishui-Xiangjiang River Basin. It’s Guangxi Northeast portal, and its Northeastern part is bordereded with southwest of Hunan. Guilin area is a multi-ethnic and populated area, including the han nationality and ethnic minority. and it’s multicultural mutual coexistence region, including Hunan-Jiangxi Culture, Guangfu Culture, Minority Culture and Western Architectural Culture. Under the common influence of regional culture, natural environment and historical evolution, Guilin area formed various shapes, abundant type of traditional village and Residence culture landscape.With the help of cultural geography research and analysis techniques, from the spatial location and historical time two dimensions, and through the classification, statistical analysis, comparative study of these diverse properties, this article systematically analyze the spatial distribution and differences of the traditional village and residence in Guilin area.The main of this article is divided into three parts:Firstly, this article selects the cultural factors of the traditional village and residence in Guilin area. With the Arc Gis and Google Earth as the platform, this article establishes cultural and geographic information database and draw the culture geography atlas of the traditional village and residence in Guilin area. And this article also analyzes the cultural geography feature of the each cultural factor, and then select two type of residence and village arrangement as the main cultural factors. Through analyzing, this article determines Along the contour stepped Layout–Pile Dwelling, Determinant Layout –Terraced House, Freestyle Layout –Terraced House as core village modes and three other non-core village modes.Secondly, based on the model village, with the help of the superposition method and the leading factor method, this article divides the cultural district of traditional Village and residence in Guilin area into four parts, including Northwest Guilin minority Pile Dwelling Cultural District, West Yongfu Terraced House Cultural District, South Guilin Guangfu–Hunan–Jiangxi Terraced House Cultural District, Southwest Guilin northeast Guilin–Hunan–Jiangxi Terraced House and Patio Hall Car type House Cultural District, and then select distinctive village as the representatives to analyze the each cultural district’s cultural landscape features, and then analyzes the main causes of each cultural district.Thirdly, this article focuses on the impact of the natural environment, history, languages and humanities ideas on the cultural landscape of traditional village and residence in Guilin area, and then explores the association between the similar culture of Hunan–Jiangxi region, Guangdong regions and Western Architectural Culture.
