Effect Analysis On Typical River Regulation Works Of Wandering Reach Of The Yellow River

This paper studies on evolution of wandering reach and river regulation effect of the Yellow River through the analysis of measured data and experiment of movable model of river engineering.The major results are in decades,river regulation of wandering reach of downstream has basically completed,most of which are relatively corollary.The whole work,including those were built before,gets the water flow well regulated.While the river regulation of the upstream isn't satisfactory.The actual river regime is much different from the regulation line,especially when floods come,the river regime of the wandering river is rather hard to regulate.Scattered and wide shoal,flooded low beach,and upward high beach indicate that scouring and silting of the main channel and the transverse deformation are complicated.If the upstream is well regulated,and the work of both upstream and downstream and both banks are well located,the flow path will be close to the regulation line.It is found that if the layout of river channel project follows the model experiment result,with reinforcement of co-bank degree of upstream regulation and the matched river regulation,the river regime will gradually match the regulation line.That also indicates that it is feasible to implement the wandering reach regulation layout by using regulation line.Lowering river regime,deviation of main stream,and the worse of co-bank degree are under the effect of the flood.But there is no deviation from the main flow in works of Wuzhuang,Zhaokou,and Mao'an.Main streamline are still within the envelope curve.After the floods,with higher river regime,the flow path isn't much different.It means the regulation work with adequate length needs to be completed with the least possible delay.Quantitative analysis of the effect of wandering river regulation can be obtained by using two indicators of effective co-bank degree and drifting angle between the main flow and the training works.Abundant materials and analysis of downstream indicates that there is inverse relation between the two indicators,which can be used to evaluate the river regulation effect.When effective co-bank degree is over 80% and drifting angle between the main flow and the training works is 5%,the river regulation work project can work very well.While through the materials analysis and test of wondering upstream regulation,it is found that the relation between effective co-bank degree and drifting angle between the main flow and the training works is disparate.The co-bank degree of effective project is below 80%,and drifting angle between the main flow and the training works is over 5%.This means that wandering river of upstream needs further regulation.
