High-rise buildings affect wind environment on the urban,and the podium as an important part of high-rise buildings,is an important factor on the impact of the wind environment near around high-rise buildings.The research on the wind environment of high-rise buildings is mainly based on the whole of high-rise buildings,and the research on the podium is not comprehensive and thorough.The paper takes the Xiamen area as an example,and carries on the investigation to the high-rise building podiums.According to the distance between the high-rise building positions,the high-rise building podium is divided into single high-rise building podium and high-rise building podium arrays.Respectively,summing up the impact of pedestrian high wind environment related factors.And through PHOENICS software simulation analysis,which provides guidance and reference for the design of high-rise building podium.The research work and conclusions are mainly reflected in the following aspects:First of all,having an investigation on the status quo of high-rise buildings in Xiamen,and collecting the information of high-rise building height,podium shape and other.And summed up the impact of single high-rise building's wind environment factors: the building and its podium position,the size of the podium and the orientation.Summed up the impact of the high-rise building podium arrays' factors are: adjacent podium spacing,the main part of the number of buildings,podium layout and different podium orientation.Then,through simulation software,the influence of the type and plane form of the single high-rise building podium on the wind environment is analyzed.The main conclusions are as follows: separation type reduces wind speed effect is most obvious.At the same circumcircle radius,the simulation of the podium plane in the form of diamond,pentagonal,trapezoidal around the wind speed is low.Podium corners rounded does not necessarily reduce the surrounding wind speed.The long length of podium suggested the better range of 80 ~ 120 m,short length suggested the range of 40 ~ 60 m,the height is more suitable for the range of 14 ~ 24 m.Secondly,through simulation software,the influence of the four combinations of the high-rise building podium on the wind environment is calculated and analyzed.The conclusion is that the number of the main building of the row-type podium is better in the two buildings,and the surround-type podium is better in the four buildings.The spacing of the podium is more suitable in the range of 20 ~ 60 m.The distance between the left and right spaces of the mixed podium has little effect on the wind environment.The long side of the high-rise building podium is vertical in the direction of the wind is placed as a better program.Finally,the study of the optimal design of the podium is carried out in two practical cases.The conclusion shows that: case one is a single high-rise building podium,the wind environment is more comfortable,near the podium the wind speed is high.To transform the podium plane can improve the problem.Case two for the high-rise building podium arrays,in the summer there is no wind vortex zone,transforming the podium's orientation can reduce the area without wind vortex.
