With the improvement of people’s economics,the commercial space,as an important carrier of human social activities,has entered a stage of vigorous development.In recent years,Commercial complex has been built in core street of cities,highly functional aggregation of commercial complex model has gradually formed.However,people have acquired a high degree of functional satisfaction from the commercial space.In addition,the lack of spiritual needs in commercial space has brought deep reflection.Similarly,under the premise of the gradual improvement of large commercial complex,how to optimize the design of small commercial space,and combined with the spirit of the demand has become the main problem of this issue.Through the collation and analysis of the literature,the theoretical induction of related disciplines and put forward the design orientation of "Empathy" to guide the study of the experience of small commercial space,to solve the lack of spiritual needs of commercial space and explore the development direction of small commercial space."Empathy" as a theoretical concept from psychology and aesthetic analysis can guide the design,it can directly get the commercial space of spirit demand level theory,generate a systematic approach to guide the practice and propose the most intuitive solution.At the same time,"Empathy",as the final destination of the space experience and the emotion generation,will form a very clear logic between theory and practice to analyze the practical problems.In the process of"Empathy" as a design guide to solve the problem in the research,have acquired how to create imagination,how to produce the corresponding emotions through body perception in the space experience and how to design to guide consumers generate the "empathy" in a specific place space,then,it may achieve a further"empathy" in small commercial space.In conclusion,the issue proves the theoretical support,forms a certain reference methodology,and then applies it to the actual design of the small commercial space experience.As a result,it will explore a new way of thinking for the design of small commercial space.
