| Vehicle Global Tracking Device provides a powerful modern equipment for intelligent traffic management System as a vehicle monitoring and management system device.As a complex outdoor electronic device,customers normally have many stringent requirements for the mechanical structure of the device,including HUE,Temperature,Corrosion protection,Vibration and Shock protection.More and more manufacturers and research department began to combine finite element simulation analysis tool and of reliability test for the device mechanical structure design to provide product reliability and reduce product development cycle-time.In this paper,we will have detailed description of a vehicle positioning device structure design and improvement for a company newly developed GPS-based automotive satellite positioning device.The design and improvement will base on the principle of electronic equipment design and finite element analysis tools,combined with related reliability testing,cooling,drops impaction protection,anti-corrosion and other structures Design elements.In this paper,firstly introduces the development and research status of the positioning system,positioning equipment and structural design at home and abroad.Then we analysis of the specific structural requirements and the proposed challenges from the structural requirements for device structural design.Next,we completed overall and cell structure design for device.Secondly,we did finite element analysis for the device temperature field and the drop impaction by relevant finite element software tools.We also did the drop impaction and the temperature field for device prototypes reliability test.We propose and validate the improve concept based on the finite element analysis result,improved the structure and product reliability for the device.Finally,we did a detailed anti-corrosion design for the device.The mechanical structure for the device had meet our customer’s reliability requirements for the equipment from the quality test of the final product and customer feedback.We think finite element analysis and reliability testing combing method for the mechanical structure design will be an effective design reference for our company’s future types of outdoor equipment products. |
