Automated Mechanical Transmission(AMT)is updated from manual mechanical transmission, while the transmission control unit(TCU)is an important part of it.Shift strategy is the focus of the AMT technology, while fast and accurate implementation of the shift process is the key to the shift strategy. In the actual vehicle driving process, there are starting, climbing, accelerating, braking and other driving conditions under complex and fickle road environments. These non-steady driving conditions and changeable unknown road environments lead to high frequency and large range lateral acceleration and longitudinal acceleration changes of the vehicle, which cause unpredictable disturbances of the vehicle gearbox, especially the selecting and shifting actuators. These disturbances will cause the shift implementation to teeth and stuck problems. In this paper,in order to solve the problems caused by the lateral acceleration and longitudinal acceleration changes, the shift control algorithm was designed, and it was verified feasible on the developed TCU hardware. The main tasks included:Firstly, the dynamic analysis of AMT shift mechanism was carried out and the dynamic equation of the AMT actuator mechanism was established. The working principle of the motor and the slowdown mechanism was analyzed and the model of the shift mechanism was built in Matlab / Simulink.Secondly,in consideration of the problems encountered in the classical PID,the Active Disturbance Rejection Control(ADRC)algorithm was designed and built on Matlab / Simulink, and the simulation experiment was carried out.The simulation experiment proved that the algorithm is feasible. The hardware framework of the TCU was designed, and the ADRC algorithm was integrated into the program of the TCU and the Hardware-In-the-Loop(HIL)test was carried out on the dSPACE.The HIL test results confirmed the reliability of the TCU and the feasibility of the control algorithm.
