With the development of ship-building and nautical technology,the ships built now is getting much more larger faster and lighter than days before.The vibration monitoring system is playing a more significant role than before.As we all know,the related technology have a strong desire of efficient vibration sensor networks to detect the signal of vibrations.In fact,the traditional vibration monitoring systems were too expensive to setup in large quantity.The aim of this paper is trying to come up with a new design of vibration monitoring system witch based on MEMS sensors and wireless communication technology to offer a alternative choice of the engineers in need.Firstly,the research background of science and technology in vibration field is shown in the paper.Combined with the requirement in practice the whole structure of the system is discussed.To follow with,the hardware design of the system is introduced,which consists of the sensor module,the control module,the wireless communication module and coordinator module.The algorithms also take vital part in this paper.Infinite Impulse Response Filter could get the raw data processed and then the The Fast Fourier Transform could transform the time array to frequency spectrum.Moreover,the network protocol and the program for establishing the network is designed.The software design is interpreted in detail,which consists of the programs run in microcontrollers,which could take the job of signal processing,and computer software,which include the data base and user interface.Lastly but not least importantly,there is experiment in practical environment,the environment could simulate the facts of ship in sealing condition.The vibration signals are successfully captured which could show the vibration condition of ship.The stability of the whole system is tested which means the design could meet the need.
