Outdoor Space Renewal Strategy Research Of Tianjin Old Residential Districts Based On Low Impact Development

There exists a large amount of old residential districts in Tianjin,which are widely distributed in almost all regions of the city,most of them remained in good condition and can still be used normally.But due to the limited economic and constructive conditions in the past,the residential districts built in a traditional manner in that period of time can not adapt to the current municipal environment,the infrastructure and spatial environment also emerged a dilapidated scene.Under the background of the rapid expanding city,frequent extreme weather and the increasingly severe stormwater problem,many old residential districts with dilapidated infrastructure waterlogged every time it rains,which brings bad effects to the environment and residents,also provoked their disapproval,it's high time to take some measures to improve the drainage conditions and the environmental quality of outdoor space that belonged to old residential districts.But it would not only cost a lot of financial resources,but also bring bad effects to residents and environment when constructing massively to the drainage facilities in residential districts that are still in use,on this background,considering there still exists a large amount of old residential districts with dilapidated drainage conditions in Tianjin,which requires improved outdoor stormwater management capability badly,this article proposed introducing LID concept in outdoor space updating of old residential districts,it can improve outdoor stormwater management capability effectively and achieve the goal of improving environmental quality,supplementing groundwater resources and protecting environment,meanwhile,it can also lower the influence to the residents by avoiding massive construction during residential districts' updating process.This article took old residential districts built between 1980-2000 in Tianjin as study subject,firstly,explaining some concepts,such as LID,old residential districts and outdoor space,and introducing the related research of domestic and overseas;Then,choosing a representative case in central urban area to investigate,the investigation is aimed at understanding the current situation more entirely,including field observation,interview and issuing questionnaires,then summarizing the existing problems after sorting the materials and analyzing further the deep reasons caused problems,based on that,proposing the LID strategy to ecological outdoor space updating of old residential districts;at last,taking Tianjin Chuanfuxincun residential district as a typical object,combining the investigating data,using SWMM to simulate the application effect of applying LID strategy to outdoor space of residential districts to verify the enforceability of related strategies and measurements,providing a reference for the outdoor space updating of residential districts of our country.
