The traditional product process planning is based on the two-dimensional level.With the development of the manufacturing industry,the machining process planning based on the 3D model plays an increasingly important role in the product design,process and manufacturing.Driven by the environment,the key technologies involved is studied deeply and machining process planning system based on 3D model are developed by the project team.According to the problems existing in the system and the requirements put forward by the enterprises in the using,the content that is need to improve and the overall framework of the system are determined.The inter-process model's creation based on feature recognition and the knowledge discovery and reuse based on the machining features are studied,research results are summarized as follows:(1)Based on the analysis of the system requirements,the framework of 3D machining process planning system is established,the functional modules and working flow of the system are expounded,and the key technologies in the development process are studied.(2)A mechanism to create the inter-process model is put forward.The classification of machining feature is proposed:hole features,slot features,inclined surface features,cubic features and intersecting feature.The recognition algorithm of each type of machining feature is constructed,and machining features are identified by the initial surface through interactive selection combined with recognition algorithm.Based on the feature modeling method and half space thinking,the algorithm flows of machining features map to removal material volume are created.The inter-process model is created by the removal material volume and 3D model.Use examples to verify.(3)A method of process knowledge discovery and reuse is proposed.The classification,structure and modeling of process information are expounded,process resource database and process knowledge database are created,and the maintenance and management of the information is realized.the attribute information of machining features are established.A clustering analysis algorithm based on similar distance is proposed,and the knowledge discovery process is realized by combining the Sunday search algorithm and the credibility evaluation.The decision tree reuse model is constructed,the decision tree knowledge reuse algorithm is proposed,and process knowledge reuse is realized.The examples are introduced for analysis.(4)Based on the above research,3D machine process design system is developed in the ACIS geometric modeling kernel,HOOPS rendering kernel,SQL Server2008 database and VS2008,Inter-process model and process knowledge discovery and reuse are realized.Finally,the function of the system function module is carried out by taking the wall plate and the joint part as an example.
