As the important part of power transmission,the safe and reliable operation of substation will have an important impact on the stability of power system.With the development of the electric power industry,the number of power equipment in substation is increasing,and the structure of it becomes more and more complex.It provides new requirements for the display and analysis of various power equipment parameters,the operation status of substation,and helping the staff to detect and deal with the fault situation in time to reducing the accident hazards.At the same time,how to quickly and effectively improve the professional quality of duty personnel is imminent.At present,substation monitoring system has been able to achieve real-time monitoring and data display,but the parameters are distributed in all kinds of pictures,and lack of effective platform for visual display.When the accident occurs,the operators need to do a lot of data analysis and processing in a short period of time,but it is difficult to grasp the main information.Therefore,the substation system needs a visual and intuitive display of equipment parameters,so as to improve the efficiency of the operators.Electric power training can effectively improve the basic quality and control level of staff,which is an effective means to reduce accidents.But the particularity of substation scene also means it is difficult to make man-made accidents or stop line to meet the need of practical training and equipment structure learning.Therefore,simulation training has become an important development direction of substation training.If a high fidelity substation training environment can be set up to enable operators to experience the same feeling as the actual substation scene,it can greatly enhance the effect of substation training.Based on the above two problems,a substation system based on virtual reality technology is developed in this paper.It displays the running parameters and actions of the substation by the visual scene,which improves the monitoring level,and with the help of a highly realistic virtual environment,it helps the training staff to learn skills at any time and place,which reduces training costs and improves training effectiveness.The main innovations of this paper are as follows:(1)Based on virtual reality technology,a highly realistic virtual substation scene is constructed.The paper builds and optimizes the various equipment models and environment models in the substation by 3DS MAX.Through the component generator,component assembler and scene assembler,the 3D scene of substation is constructed.And based on Virtools platform through the way of script development,the 3D model can be established electrical attributes,behavior attributes and other attributes,which would make it have the man-machine interaction function,the movement demonstration function and so on.(2)Based on the virtual substation system,the rapid remote visual function is realized.Selecting the device or region that needs to be monitored in the virtual world,the system will realize the optimal selection of camera and the compute of optimal rotation path by the proposed optimal selection algorithm.Finally,the action command would be sent to the relevant camera,to complete rapid and precise monitoring.The process avoids the selection and rotation of the camera by working personnel and improves the remote viewing efficiency.(3)Based on the virtual substation system,the visual monitoring of substation equipment is realized.By the D5000 data platform,real time operation data of each equipment the is connected to the corresponding three-dimensional model,as electrical input.Through the electrical calculation and the design of model action,realizing the integration of device scenarios,monitoring information,and device parameter information.It adopts a variety of visualization means(coloring,piping,listing,floating labels)to visually display the operation information of all kinds of equipment,effectively improving the operator's information processing ability.(4)Based on the virtual substation system,highly realistic 3D substation training is realized.The action attributes of the 3D models are designed according to the actions of the corresponding real devices,to enable the device can act accordingly when the user sends out the instruction,and can display the consequences caused by the error operation.At the same time,it can make detailed scene modeling and simulation of equipment operation mechanism(including indicator light,action message,etc.)for secondary equipment scenes(including protective screen cabinet,secondary pressure plate,etc.).It enables students to master skills in an environment similar to their actual work,which can improve training effectiveness.(5)The structure of immersive visual training system is designed.The system adopts virtual reality helmet,motion capture device and other interactive instruments to close the vision and hearing,so that the participants can be completely immersed in the substation primary and secondary scene.It greatly enhances the visual interaction experience of participants,thereby further enhancing the training effect of the system.
