Smart substations that are guided with IEC 61850 are a key part in smart grid. As the leading features in smart substations, information-sharing and interoperability can provide rich information about operation and condition of secondary equipment, which greatly fa-cilitates secondary equipment condition monitoring and its condition-maintenance. How-ever, the research on secondary equipment condition monitoring is still insufficient. For example, the lack of alarm classification can make it difficult to obtain the key alarm in-formation from a large number of alarm signals.Scrollable list, which is widely used in network analyzer and other monitoring devices to list secondary equipment status information, is reported not to be a good visualization way from the staffs in operating substations. In addition, due to the lack of an integrated information platform, many advanced applications designed for smart substation like fault diagnosis or fault prediction are seldom deployed in operating substations.Under this background, this thesis firstly discusses the concept and the object of sec-ondary equipment condition monitoring, then analyzes the key technologies and methods of information modeling and monitoring data analysis and processing. Secondly, the prob-lem of data visualization in current secondary equipment condition monitoring is analyzed in detail. Considering the insufficient of condition monitoring research, the works of this thesis are as follows:1. Analyze the concept and the content of the panoramic data of the intelligent sub-station.2. Propose a method to extract virtual terminal information from SCD file. The cor-responding virtual terminal configuration file is designed. The configuration file is set up for two mappings. One is the mapping between the data reference and the data description, and the other is the mapping between the sender and the re-ceiver of the MMS\GOOSE. On this basis, the corresponding MMS, GOOSE re-solve program is developed, thus the semantic analysis of the MMS and GOOSE is realized.3. Propose a scheme of alarm information classification. According to the key words in the alarm information, the alarm information is divided into 3 different levels, which can help to get the key alarm information quickly.4. Propose a B/S-based visualization framework for secondary equipment condition monitoring. The framework uses SVG to draw the topology of the secondary equipment, and push decoded alarm message through WebSocket. Then use script program to update the UI to achieve visual alarm. On this basis, a design of inte-grated information platform based on WebSocket is proposed, which can provide data support for various substation advanced applications.5. Develop the visual condition monitoring system, and finish the test in a simulate 220kV smart substation laboratory. Test results show that the system can provide a more effective way to show the alarms and to locate the fault equipment than current way, which has good engineering practical value.
