For the modern college gymnasium,in addition to the function of the general gymnasium,but also needs to meet functional requirements of other activities,such as types of performances,small and medium-sized concerts,all kinds of calligraphy and painting exhibitions and community gatherings,which requires the air conditioning system of air flow organization to meet various requirements,so the college gymnasium needs a more flexible adjustment,to meet the different modes and attendance rate environmental requirements.Based on the user various demand for gymnasium,this paper using the CFD simulation analyzes the shortcomings of the preliminary design of the airflow organization scheme in a university gymnasium in Hengyang City,Hunan Province,and puts forward a kind of air conditioning system which can be used for different purposes,and can be used to switch the air distribution of air conditioning,and adjust the flow structure of different load distribution conditions of different audience attendance rate.The research results are as follows:(1)When the lateral supply lateral return air-flow organization was used alone,the temperature at rear audience area of gymnasium reached29.5 oC and the game hall below 9m had an air velocity more than 0.2m/s.This method cannot solve the problem that temperature difference between the front row and the back row is large,and the comfort of the rear audience is poor,which is not suitable for the multifunction needs of the gymnasium users.(2)The lateral supply lateral return and upper supply upper return of air-flow organization was proposed in the paper.By adjusting air supply angle of nozzle and opening the roof air supply unit,in the assembly,performance mode and in the game mode,the center ground temperature of the game hall kept 26 oC or so,PMV was about 0 and PPD was less than 10% in the most of auditorium area,and the game hall below 9m had an air velocity less than 0.2m/s.these results can meet requirements of various activities.(3)When the attendance rate changes,the homogeneous variable air volume air supply method is only applicable to the uniform distribution of the load conditions;In order to meet the thermal comfort requirements in the densely populated areas,central air supply with closing part of nozzles was chose.
