Study On Application Of Tower Cooling System In Data Center

With the development of China's economy,China's energy is facing many challenges,energy saving and emission reduction has become a basic national policy,and the data center is the major energy consumption.In the data center,in order to maintain the room year-round constant temperature and humidity,thus to the data center brings huge energy consumption.Under the dual pressures of energy conservation and reducing operating costs,the cooling of the data center using natural cooling source becomes an important issue for energy conservation and emission reduction.Cooling tower technology is in the outdoor meteorological parameters to meet the conditions,the use of natural cold source and outdoor dry air cooling room,and shorten the running time of mechanical refrigeration compressor,greatly reduces the energy consumption of the engine room.According to the characteristics of data center cooling,the perennial need for stable operation,load fluctuation,analyzes the application conditions,the cooling tower system in the data center of the applicability and practical engineering case etc..First of all,according to the conventional air-conditioning system of high energy consumption and usage limitations as well as the data center,combined with the actual research,the application of natural cooling in the data center according to the different refrigerant were summarized,and the application form in the data center are introduced.Secondly,from the theoretical premise to realize the operation of natural cold source are described,analyzed and introduced specific measures to prolong the running time of the natural cold source,combined with the actual research,put forward three kinds of operation time of cooling tower with different cooling system.Again,on the basis of administrative area,the country is divided into 7 regions,the "China meteorological data for building thermal environment analysis of meteorological data collection" in the every area of the wet bulb temperature at 2 degrees,7 degrees,12 degrees below the number of hours for the statistics,analysis of each region of each city cooling tower cooling system and the applicability of the running time.And analyzed the influence of natural cooling time of the cooling tower on the annual cooling energy efficiency ratio SCOP.Finally,according to the actual engineering application,under different meteorological conditions,supply and return water temperature of cooling tower,and the temperature field inside the room during the free cooling and special place temperature test,through the test of practical engineering analysis and comparison of two cases,the cooling system has great energy-saving potential in the data center,and the cooling end closer to the cabinet,the natural cooling time is longer,more energy saving room.
