It is a complex systematic engineering to develop large-scale ship.the traditional d esign strategy can not handle the general arrangement design because of its inefficient and irrational characteristics.To solve this problem,a novel technology or design mod el is urgently needed.The living compartments in aircraft carrier was divided into following 4 categoris:sleeping compartments,feeding compartments,medical compartments and ministrant comp artments on basis of the knowledge on compartment arrangement in aircraft carriers,th e requirement in military standard on habitability of military naval ships and the conte mporary status of modern aircraft carrier.Facility layout problems(FLPs)concerning space layout optimization have been investigated in depth by researchers in many fields,such as industrial engineering,management science,and architecture.Layout design investigations have been helped by recent advances in computing science and also by increased understanding of the methods used for developing mathematical models.The Facility layout problem has been widely applied in the field of shipbuilding and other related manufacturing industry.This study proposes an improved genetic algorithm(GA)to derive solutions for facility layouts that are to have inner walls and passages.The proposed algorithm models the layout of facilities on gene structures.Improved solutions are produced by employing genetic operations known as selection,crossover,inversion,mutation,and refinement of these genes for successive generations.All relationships between the facilities and passages are represented as an adjacency graph.The shortest path andd istance between two facilities is calculated using Dijkstra's algorithm of graph theory.Finally,the proposed algorithm is applied to ship living compartment layout problems.To evaluate the warship cabin layout design,a fuzzy analytic hierarchical comprehensive evaluation method is proposed based on Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP)and Fuzzy Comprehensive Assessment(FCA).By focusing on the assessment of living district cabin layouts,this paper illustrates in detail the procedure of the index system establishment,the AHP weighting analysis,and the FCA decision-making process.A particular layout design is then taken as an example for the purpose of validation.Through theoretical and practical application analysis,the proposed method is proved to be feasible and effective,as the produced results fully and directly reflect the satisfaction level of the target cabin layout in both general objectives and sub-indicators.
