Research Of Reconstruction Of Old Industrial Buildings On Architecture Typology

This article is aimed at the research and study in the field of the reconstruction of old industry buildings by through the architecture typology.It means that trying to study the existing old industry building in China by virtue of the theoretical achievements of architecture typology.It tried to find the suitable way for reconstruction the old industry building by through the way of analysis and investigate and the way of combining with the theoretical knowledge.Comparing between old industry buildings and other history buildings,the old industry buildings have the following advantages:They have stronger structures,taller and more fixable space,bigger body which can bring more influence when they are removed,more aesthetic value and the unique design concept and so on.So they can be a kind of important buildings for reconstruction.Meantime,it has some general and special mean for the study of the way of reconstruction.The work of reconstruction can be seemed as a continuation of the cities’ history.For the old industry buildings,their original function had been changed,but their objects as a kind of collective memory and their value for the cities never change.On account of this idea,this article is aimed at how to retain the special value of the old industry buildings for the cities when their original function had been changed,how to raise the purposiveness and the consciousness when the old one and the new one are combined and how to provide the materials and tools of think for the following designers who would work on the reconstruction to raise the consecutiveness of the cities.This article analyzed the reconstruction of the existing old industry buildings from the perspective of architecture typology.By using the 49 cases come from more than 10 cities in China,the article try to analyze the using of design methodology in the field of the reconstruction of old industry buildings with the method of study about the buildings’ characters,bodies,faces and points.At the meantime,deal to the principle which is studied out,the article creates 4 types of typology design ways called:"Apposition","Insertion","Wrap" and "Penetration" and each ways have 2 types of directions called:"Mimesis" and "Variation".The article tried to use the above-mentioned 8 ways to find the rational thinking under the complicated superficial phenomenon and tried to develop the design ways by study about the existing cases.
