In recent years,the problem of urban traffic congestion has become more and more serious.Reasonable evaluation of the regional traffic signal control effect will help the traffic participants to choose a reasonable travel mode and to save travel time;it will also help the traffic managers to use the actual evaluation results to guide and control traffic reasonably to ease congestion problems.The city's traffic network consists of a large number of road sections and intersections.Therefore,it is necessary to evaluate the control results from two perspectives,one is the signal control effect evaluation index selection under different traffic conditions,the other is the methods to evaluate the effectiveness of regional traffic control.Therefore,this paper studies the method on evaluating the effect of regional traffic signal control from three layers namely,intersections,road sections and regions.The main tasks are as follows:Firstly,the signal control evaluation effect at the intersection is analyzed.Under different saturation conditions,the average rate of delay,queue length,secondary parking rate,standard deviation of saturation,and efficiency coefficient of each evaluation index were analyzed.After that,K-means clustering method is used to divide the correspondence relation between saturation state and evaluation index,select appropriate indicators for different saturation conditions,then the signal control effects based on fuzzy evaluation methods is evaluated.Secondly,because the evaluation of intersection control effect is generally evaluated under certain traffic conditions,without considering the interaction between signal control strategies at the associated intersection,the road section saturation,average vehicle delay,and average speed of the road are selected.As an evaluation index,a road state assessment model was built based on the TOPSIS method to quantitatively evaluate traffic conditions on road sections.Finally,based on the evaluation of intersections and road sections,the road network was evaluated.Based on analytic hierarchy process to select evaluation indicators and evaluate the weights of intersections.Afterwards,the road section weights is calculated based on the failure probability of the road section and the impact of the road section.Finally,based on the above calculation results,using the grey correlation analysis method,the control effect of regional road network under different control strategies is evaluated.
