The high-Density low frequency cable is the most commonly used in the internal communication of space products,with the improvement of the aerospace product miniaturization requirements,the density of the cable connector has enhanced.However,the most common way of testing the cable in the domestic is to measure the cable manually point by point,which is not only time consuming,but also difficult to guarantee the quality.In this situation,it is of great necessary to develop an automatic test equipment.According to the requirements of actual measurement,this article has carried on the overall design and hardware implementation of the high-density low frequency cable of automatic test equipment.In order to detect density low frequency cable quickly and efficiently,this paper first compares the core processor of the device and then make a choice,finally confirmed on the FPGA chip as the core processor of the device.Based on UART data transmission protocol,which is proposed after density of low frequency cable test plan.And according to this plan,determine the overall architecture of this system,the function,hardware structure and software structure.Finally,designing the hardware circuit using Verilog write program and debug it successfully.The equipment will be the FPGA as the motherboard in the periphery of the its circuit and driver circuit,connecting plate and display panel as a child,form a modular structure,maintain and upgrade it easily.Implementation of this detection method is divided into two modes,one is "self-learning" mode,the system is upon insertion standard cable can automatically record the sequence relationship of standard cable line,and store it in PROM to prepare,The other one mode is ordering relation detection mode,the system is upon insertion test cables,obtained by the same cable line sequential relationship to test and store in a FIFO buffer,and then read it in standard cable to contrast.If the they are identical,the cable under test is qualified,or the test cablesis failed.According to this detection method,design and prepare low-density cable testing procedures for automated testing equipment,and ultimately the detection purposes are realized by software debugging device for high-density low-frequency cables fast and accurately.Finally,comparing to the experimental data,the speed and accuracy of judgment errors of the device were significantly improved than the test of traditional manual device.This article is designed not only to detect the purposes of high-density low-frequency cable testing device,which can quickly and accurately determine the eligibility of the cable,but also to point out the specific location of the error connection.The device can not only has the function of automatic learning,but also can record the line order.Inspectors can detect the quality of the high-density low frequency cable accurately and quickly,just need plug the cable.
