Suspension porcelain insulator is a kind of electrical component,used in high-voltage power transmission.Its main role is to increase the creepage path between high-voltage wires and transmission towers.However,due to the fact that porcelain suspension bodies of suspension insulators usually become an irregular plate body during the firing process,seriously affecting the accuracy of their creepage path.During the process of glued suspension insulator porcelain bodies and their steel caps and steel feet,it usually cause skew betten porcelain bodies and their steel caps or steel feet,resulting in the central axis of the suspension insulator being not perfectly coincide with the central axis of the suspension insulator porcelain disc body.As a result,the creepage path,axial deviation,radial deviation,and disk diameter of the suspension insulator do not match the actual values.Therefore,the four parameters of the suspension insulator are pre-measured before use.At present,the measurement methods for these four parameters are relatively tedious,time-consuming and labor-intensive.Besides,it is impossible to solve the problem that the central axis of the suspension insulator does not coincide with the central axis of the porcelain disk body during measurement,resulting in measurement error.It is necessary to change the existing measurement method in order to accurately measure these four parameters of the suspension insulator.Reverse engineering and 3D scanning technology are currently more advanced technologies.The main role is to reverse the production process just from the product without knowing the designing progress.In this process of reverse engineering,it will inevitably form the idea of acquiring the contour data of the object—the digitization of the object—analyzing the digitized model—processing.The four parameters of the suspension insulator are only related to the shape of the porcelain disc body,so the reverse engineering process exactly solves the unpredictable and inefficient problems of these four parameters of the suspension insulator.This paper describes the method to indirectly measure the creepage distance of suspension insulators disk diameter,axial deviation and radial deviation of these four parameters under the application of reverse engineering ideas.At the same time,in order to solve the measurement error caused by the non-coincidence of the central axis of the suspended insulator and the central axis of the porcelain disc body,this paper introduces the method of designing a new 3D scanner to solve the problem.The new 3D scanner operation of the porcelain insulator disc can also make the final data not affected by the problem that the central axis of the suspension insulator does not coincide with the central axis of the porcelain disc body.In this paper,introducing the equipment for measuring these four parameters of the suspension insulator based on the idea of reverse engineering in detail,besides,I also describe the method of following points cloud data processing,surface reconstruction and extracting parameters...
