The Research On Vertical Dimension Architectural Design Of Traffic Complex

With developing and urbanizing at high speed in our country,the transportation based complex which is comprehensively integrated with the functions of transportation,catering,entertainment,shopping etc.is emerging in major cities with high density.The transportation complex presents diversity of functions and all functions are highly intersected which leads to sophisticated and massive streamline of users.The proper way to solve the complicity of transportation complex design is the break point.However the vertical thinking has been placed in a lower level,even been neglected.This article tempts to figure out policy and method of vertical function layout and how to enhance functional efficiency and accessibility based on vertical dimension design theory and policy.In order to create much more comfortable,rational and efficient space for transportation complex users.Regarding vertical thinking as the breaking point of architectural design,vertical design thinking integrates with horizontal design thinking can help architects make the complicated category of building especially as transportation complex more rational and efficient.Vertical thinking is indispensable way to do the architectural design to increase spacial association and more reasonable function layout.However,under the circumstance of insufficient aware of vertical thinking design,space of buildings is Homogenized and lack of the vertical design thinking restrict the development of spatial form.The study of vertical design is not only how to do architectural design but also one of the design concept of architecture.According to the recent research and study of vertical design and vertical design thinking,they are focusing on the case study of some pioneer architects or studios such as MVRDV,OMA(Rem Koolhaas)and so on,and lack of analyzing one certain type of architecture in a systemic way.On transportation complex,it is worth of elaborate research due to its complex function system and intricate streamline.Using the vertical design methods to solve the contradiction and problem of transportation complex design has significant importance.This article try to discusses the transportation complex’s rationality of function layout and format by means of theresearch and analysis existing successful transportation complex design.Finally the article tempt to summarizes the design policy and practical strategies of the transportation complex based on the vertical dimension design thinking,and design techniques,in order to improve the architectural design theory and provide data to assist transportation complex design.
