Intelligent flexible positioning unit is the key equipment of BIW welding line models collinear production.Using the multiple intelligent flexible positioning units of BIW positioning system can make the automatic welding line?front floor?rear floor?floor assembly and flexible assembly more accurate positioning.It can realize the production of multi-vehicle mixed flow and collinear production,greatly enhance the BIW manufacturing flexibility and productivity.At present,four major robotic company,such as ABB,Kawasaki,KUKA and FANUC,have developed intelligent flexible location units,and have been applied to the flexible manufacturing projects.Although the domestic company such as Otto?Sichuan BMT and Noke had carried out some research in linear flexible positioning unit,but it had not been applied.In order to fill the gaps in the research of intelligent flexible positioning unit,to break the foreign monopoly giant robot manufacturing enterprises in the field of Chinese automotive BIW welding flexible positioning,we specially research and development on intelligent flexible positioning unit.First of all,this paper is design for the overall plan of three and five axis intelligent flexible positioning unit,make sure of the intelligent flexible positioning unit in shaft distribution,technical index,range of motion and application situation.Secondly,it calculates and analyzes the force of the intelligent flexible positioning unit,including the force of the key parts of the guide rail and the force of the key parts of the cylinder which can be selected the best wall thickness and outer diameter,furthermore,the load analysis of the whole machine under different working conditions is carried out to determine the load capacity of the intelligent flexible positioning unit.Thirdly,it is analyzed and calculated the three key factors affecting the positioning accuracy of the intelligent flexible positioning unit which is the noise and vibration,the temperature rise deformation of lead screw and the error in coordinate transformation of kinematics.Finally,the prototype of the intelligent flexible positioning unit is developed,and the rated load,repeatability and rigidity of the prototype are tested and verified.
