Research On Schedule Management Of The Water Diversion Project For The Drought Emergency In Zhaidian Town

Zhaidian Town anti-drought emergency diversion project was designed to tackle the issues exposed in fighting drought over the past several years,and guarantee living water supply to 12,000 residents in 5 villages around Zhaidian Town.Like other conventional water projects,the construction of the Zhaidian Town anti-drought emergency diversion project has also experienced many engineering changes,unfavorable construction environment,and being prone to geological and meteorological conditions.These factors combined have resulted in the behind-schedule construction of the project in the initial stage.Based on the characteristics and to address the issues of the Zhaidian Town anti-drought emergency diversion project,this study proposes optimization plans to enhance progress management,solve managerial issues in the process,in an attempt to have the construction schedule under effective control.Targeting the Zhaidian Town anti-drought emergency diversion project,this study introduces the general situation of the project from the engineering general situation and the project management,relies on the real progress and the progress management deviation theory to spot issues in progress management,and uses case studies,inductive analysis and comparative analysis to identify the causes for these issues.On this basis,re-verify the construction period based on the issues in the process.WBS(Work Breakdown Structure),Gantt Chart,progress control theories,among other methods,are used to optimize the Zhaidian Town anti-drought emergency diversion project,and design a series of effective measures to control and keep the construction of the project on schedule.The measures proposed in this study achieve good results in the Zhaidian Town anti-drought emergency diversion project.The proposed progress management optimization plan can effectively control the construction period of the project and provides effective guarantee for the Schedule Management of the project.This study proves the effectiveness of using schedule management theory in this project.Using schedule management theory has a strong practical and feasible,promotes the project economic and social benefits and provides a reference for the future construction of similar projects in Yuncheng City.
