Agriculture is the key development in the rise of national economy and sedentary humancivilization,whereby farming of domesticated species created food surpluses that nurtured the development of civilization.As one of utmost natural resources,agricultural resource has been strongly related to local areas.Agricultural resource data can be considered three key characteristics:Spatial-tempo,dynamic and massive.How to best mange,disseminate,share and exchange agricultural information to provide good practices and services for agriculture sustainability development has been one of hot issues in agriculture information sciences.Over the past years,New technologies such as Geographic information system,Remote system,Geographic position system,network system,mobile network technology and cloud computing have made it possible to promote agricultural resources management.Despite the establishments of many agriculture information management platforms in china,there rather exist some common drawbacks:1)Low data usability due to platforms incompatibility.2)Heavily Dependence on business software.3)High development and maintenance cost.In this study in order to overcome the drawbacks mentioned above,cloud computing technology and open-source software were combined to build a cloud end agricultural resources information service architecture.Architecture core contents and key technologies were given detailed description.Qianjiang tobacco planting agricultural resource management was taken a case application to test proposed cloud architecture.The research results can be depicted as follows:(1)The construction of agricultural resources information cloud service architecture.After the analysis of user requirements,service requirement,security requirement and agricultural resources information characteristics,agricultural resources information cloud computing service architecture which consist of a front end platform(fat client,thin client,mobile device),back end platforms(servers,storage),a cloud based delivery and network were built.Three fundamental models which include infrasturece as a service(Iaas),Platform as a service(PaaS)and software as a service(SaaS)as well as their employments were given detailed analysis.(2)Open sources software-based agricultural resources cloud storage and management.After the CAP and decomposability analysis of sources and processing of agricultural resources data,agriculture resources cloud storage framework which divide data by structure and non-structure was proposed.Users can have immediate access to a broad range of resources and applications hosted in the infrastructure of another organization via a web service interface.(3)Open source software-based agricultural resources information cloud service platform development and case application.In the SaaS model,a "cloud "of agricultural resources information service was established and can capture,manage,output and decide-making agricultural resources from Tablet PC.And Qianjiang tobacco planting agricultural resources management was taken as a cloud application.Cloud users do not need to manage the cloud architecture where the application runs.This eliminate the need to install and run the application on the cloud user’s own computers,which simplifies maintenance and support.
