Sericulture industry mainly consists of two parts of mulberry and silkworm mulberry cocoon production, supplying is the quantity and quality of security. The traditional way of plucking needs high labor intensity and high labor costs. Mulberry plucking machine can improve the plucking efficiency and reduce the cost of agricultural production of mulberry. At present, mulberry plucking device in our country is still not get rid of the traditional way of manual work, the work efficiency is not obvious.Therefore, research and development of mulberry plucking machine has important practical value.In view of this, through the understanding of mulberry planting and operation requirement of plucking mulberry, A plan was designed,in order to establish a virtual prototype model of the spiral type mulberry machine; The movement process of spiral mulberry machine was controled by electrical control technology and PLC; analysis the force of mulberry rod, in order to set up mechanical model of mulberry rod; Meanwhile,the optimal mathematical model is established, in order to obtaim the best design parameters of mulberry rod.First of all, understanding the mulberry growth characteristics through the field investigation. In order to design plan of spiral mulberry leaf plucking machine,mulberry plucking way of the existing device and mulberry agricultural operation requirement were analyzed. The virtual prototype of spiral mulberry machine was established by 3D design software Pro/Engineer which has parametric idea. Secondly, according to the structure and operation condition of spiral mulberry picking machine, mulberry machine operation was controled by using the relay contactor control process technology and PLC.The control procedures of spiral mulberry plucking machine was programmed and simulationed by using GX- Developer and GX- simulator software. The simulation results show that it can realize the semi automation production. Finally, the force of plucking rod was analyzed,in order to set up mechanical model of mulberry rod. section diameter of mulberry rod, span and overhang were regarded as design variables; The mass of mulberry rod,The angle of mulberry rod which produced at bow guide supprot point, The limit position size of mulberry rod can be installed on the machine were chosen as constraint function,The objective function was to ruduce the deflection of mulberry rod.The best design parameters of mulberry rod were obtained from use of MATLAB optimization Toolbox solution.In contrast,the results was showed ultimatelydetermined the best parameters of mulberry rod such as the span is 80 mm; the cross section diameter is 29 mm; overhang is 390 mm;The rusult of the deflection of mulberry rod was 1.47 mm. It was indicated that the optimizing model of the mulberry rod was18.5 percentages lower than the original model.It was good to be given instruction and reference for the research and development of mulberry leaf plucking machine of this paper...
