Handan is a main producing area of peanut in Hebei province,Handan ranked fourth in Hebei province about peanut planting area,yield,total production.The benefit of peanut production is generally higher than most field crops.In recent years,the supply of traditional crops(wheat,corn)increased and prices continued to fall,but the supply of peanut increased and the price of peanut rise,it highlighted the economic benefits of peanut production.Handan have carried out the adjustment of agricultural industrial structure,the planting of peanuts is the center of industrial restructuring.At present,there are many varieties of peanut cultivated in Handan,and the quality and yield of peanut is determined by the varieties of peanut.So,author research 5 major varieties(Jihua5,Silihong,Huayu22,Shanhua7,Huayu19)of peanut in Handan.By discuss and analysis from the aspects of the growth stages,plant characters,yield components and nutrient composition of peanut,In order to select the peanut varieties suitable for cultivation in Handan.As follows the main results:Comparison of yield and nutritional components of 5 peanut varieties.1 Yield and benefit: the yield and income of Shanhua7 is the highest.Fruit of this variety is much and big,the actual average yield is 321.4kg/ 667m2,profit is 1382yuan/667m2 and significantly higher than other varieties,this variety have a good harvest potential and promotion prospects.The second and third is Huayu22,Huayu19.2 Nutritional quality: The soluble sugar and protein of Huayu22 is highest,soluble sugar was 7.14%,protein was 35.84%,The second is Shanhua7 aboutprotein,protein is34.91%.Jihua5 have the highest lipid,lipid is 54.03%.3 Oil production: Shanhua7 have the highest Oil production.the oil was 38.1%,the average oil 90.1kg/667m2,the second and third is Huayu22,Huayu19.Relationship between peanut characters and yield.1 Growth period:Shanhua7 and Huayu22 belong to the late maturing and they have high yield,Production were 321.4kg/667m2 and 313.5kg/667m2,they are more 72% and68%than the early maturing varieties of Silihong.Long growth period was easy to obtain high yield,short growth have low yield.2 Fruit number per plant:Shanhua7have the most fruit per plant and yield,fruit per plant is 11.7,the yield was 321.4kg/ 667m2.Silihong have the lowest fruit per plant and yield,fuit per plant is 6,the yield was 186.5kg/ 667m2.The number of fruit per plant has a positive proportional relationship with the yield.3 Branch: The branches of Shanhua7 are 9.7,the branches of Silihongare 5.2,the branches of Shanhua7 is more 87% than Silihong,the yield of Shanhua7 is more 72% than Silihong.More branches is more easy to have high yield,so much branches should be choose when high yield is main objective.
