Effects Of Different Stock-scion Combinations On Growth,Fruit Quality And Yield Of Apple

The selection of the stock-scion combinations is the basis for the realization of high quality and high yield of fruit trees.Due to the interaction between the rootstocks and the scion,the rootstocks and scion showed different traits.Some changes in traits will affect the growth,fruit,yield and physiological and biochemical characteristics of the fruit trees,thus affecting the economic benefits.The experiment was conducted with ‘M9-T337' and ‘M26' as the self-rooted rootstock and interstock,rootstock for ‘Malus robusta Rehd.',the scion variety for Fuji and Gala,compared with the differences of different stock-scion combinations on apple growth,fruit quality and yield and fruit quality in different harvest periods.To select suitable stock-scion combinations and determine the appropriate harvesting provide a theoretical basis.The main research results are as follows:1.The stock-scion combinations of self-rooted rootstock of apple tree short,had weaked the growth potential,suitable for close planting and cultivating.The proportion of spikes is high and the flowers are easy to grow.The orchard of apple tree is high degree of uniformity,and the fruit is bigger and the soluble solid high content.The fruit is crisp,sweet,sour,and taste better.It is high yield and can be early grow fruit.But its shortcomings had root system,and had poored lodging resistance,need to stand up down the central leadership dry,which raised the cost of building the park.2.The interstock stock-scion combinations have similar consistency with self-rooted rootstock from growth potential,fruit quality,yield and early fruit character point of view.However,when the interstock stock-scion combinations is built garden,the dwarfing effect will appear unevenly,and the orchard of uniformity is poor,and the Seedling breeding cycle is longer.3.The standard stock of stock-scion combinations had tall canopy and vigorous growth and development,suitable for sparse planting.Its orchard is airtight and have poor ventilation and light transmission.It is less nutrition accumulation,and not easy to be colored and poor fruit quality.It is fruit later,low early yield and slow effect.4.The comprehensive with growth,yield,fruit quality and early fruit performance: the stock-scion combinations of Fuji/M9-T337 and Gala/M9-T337 in the is better,suitable for the vigorous development.5.The apple fruit of harvest time is so early that the fruit quality is poor,and the commodity value is low and low market acceptance.The harvest time is so late,and the firmness of fruit is low,that the fruit is not resistant to storage and the long-term market occupation rate is low.In Qian yang area,the best harvest time of Fuji 2 is about October 20 th,and the best harvest time of Gala is about August 12 th.
