Shaanxi is a principal province of apple production in China.Most apple orchards in Luochuan region,located in the arid plateau of Weibei,Shaanxi Province,are now in a critical period of renewal.The selection of suitable rootstocks can obviously enhance apple resistance,achieve early yield,higher yield,stable yield and good quality,So it is very important to select the apple anvil combinations suitable for planting in Luochuan area.By observing the whole growth period of 16 different scion-stock combinations and 4 different M26 self-rootstocks,we found the effects of different scion-stock combinations on the growth and development of the apple trees,leaf photosynthetic characteristic,tree yield,fruit quality and disease resistance,evaluated the adaptive performance of different scion-stock combinations in luochuan region comprehensively.Main results for this study are as follows:1.Among the different combinations of M26 superior lines,The trees of vigorous rootstock combinations which were made up by No.47 and No.48,more stronger,and better trees' photosynthesis characteristic and nutrition,higher chlorophyll content,better fruit quality.light early defoliation disease index,showed a favorable adaptability in Luochuan area.No.22 showed certain dwarfism characteristics.The tree was easy to flower,showed good early fruiting and high yield,It can be preliminarily considered that its preterm and high productivity were good.2.Among the 16 different scion-stock combinations,Nagafu No.2/G935/M.prunifolia(Willd)Borkh,Nagafu No.2/M26/M.micromalus Makino showed strong growth dwarfing effect,Short branch ratio was higher,Photosynthetic characteristics and nutrient accumulation in leaves were strong.higher flowering rate and setting rate,In a while,The fuite showed high yield,Light early defoliation disease index,In a word,The two scion-stock combinations showed a favorable adaptability in Luochuan area.3.Nagafu No.2/T337/M.micromalus Makino,Nagafu No.2i/T337/M.sieversii(Ledeb.)Roemer,Nagafu No.2/G41/M.prunifolia(Willd)Borkh,Nagafu No.2/M26/M.prunifolia(Willd)Borkh showed a general growth,Better trees' photosynthesis characteristic and nutrition,Higher chlorophyll content,gGeneral flowering ratio and setting ritio,The yield per plant was about 4.0kg,common tss-acid ratio and Serious early defoliation disease index,Generally speaking,It can be preliminarily considered that all of above were very common in Luochuan area.4.Nagafu No.2/G41/Malus hupehensis Rehd and Nagafu No.2/G935/Malus hupehensis Rehd showed weak growth,Smaller crown,Lower net photosynthetic rate,Weak accumulation of mineral nutrient elements,Less flowering and fruiting ratio,low yield per plant,In general,the adaptability is poor in Luochuan area.
