Four parts were included in this study.Main research on nutritive value assessment of mixed silage including banana stems and leaves with cassava dregs,tannin content testing in silage feed and its influence on growth performance and blood biochemical indices were also researched secondly.Theoretical basises were supported in order to develop banana leaves and cassava dregs mixed silage as a new feed of beef cattle.Exp.1 Silage quality and nutritional ingredients of banana stems and leaves conbined with cassava dregs in different proportions were compared in mixed silage.fresh banana plants were selected and cut up to 1?2cm and taken off moisture by thirty percen after harvested;fresh cassava dregs were the by-product of cassava process and straw were used to control moisture after cut short to 2-3cm.The proportion of banana stem and leaves with cassava dregs according to 65%:30%(A1)?55%:40%(A2)?40%:55%(A3)?30%:65%(A4)and straw fixed 5%,test materials were put in static device water bath fermentation for 28 days after mixed evenly.Results showed that silage feed in A1 group has the best grass sensory quality and fermentation quality including the lowest pH,the best structure of stem and leaves,the most obvious ensiling color and taste,the general quality was better than the other three groups.The content of crude protein(CP),crude fat(EE),and neutral washing fiber(NDF)in group A1 were significantly higher than group A4(P<0.05),while not significant change with A2 group and A3 group(P>0.05);The content of silage crude fiber(CF)and crude ash(ASH)in group A1 were significantly higher than the other three groups(P<0.05);The content of acid washing fiber(ADF)in four groups were no significant difference(P>0.05).Exp.2 The influence on tannin content of mixed silage in different proportions.Tannin content tested by high performance liquid chromatography method and with the results that 1.01mg/g,0.79mg/g,0.54mg/g and 0.37mg/g(dry matter basis),respectively in group A1,A2,A3,A4.Tannin-1 standard curve equation:y=0.2242x+0.5162,R2=0.999;Tannin-2 standard curve equation:y=0.6394x-0.3672,R2=0.9984.Exp.3 Influence on growth performance of banana stem and leaves with cassava dregs mixed silage feed in beef cattle.Twenty Xianan Cattle were selected for trial.The cattle were divided into four treatment groups:XM Group(roughage mainly for banana stem and leaves with cassava dregs mixed silage feed);XX Group(roughage mainly with fresh elephant grass);QG Group(roughage mainly with silage sugar cane leaf tail),QY Group(roughage mainly with silage corn stalks).Results showed that there was no significant difference in average daily gain(P>0.05),and the average daily gain in group XM was higher than the other three groups and with the lowest minimum dry matter intak,highest feed conversion ratio and compared with the other three groups,therefore there was a significant difference(P<0.05).Exp.4 Influence of different roughage on blood biochemical indices in latter fattening period.At the end of the trial,the content of TP,ALB,GLB,A/G,TBIL,DBIL,IBIL,ALT,AST,GGT,ALP,UA,CHOL and HDL were no significantly differences(P>0.05),but UN content in group XM was significantly higher than group XX and group GY(P<0.05),CREA level in group XM was significantly higher than group XX(P<0.05),LDL content in group XX was significantly higher than the other three groups(P<0.05),GLU concentration in group QY was significantly higher than group XX and group GY(P<0.05).Conclusion:1?Mixed silage combined banana stem and leaves with cassava dregs was better compared with silage respectively,for it can increase the nutritional value of silage.2?Mixed silage combined banana stem and leaves with cassava dregs can decrease tannin content,It's not physical and chemical properties of cassava dregs but adding proportion makes it changed.3?The palatability of mixed silage combined banana stem and leaves with cassava dregs was poor for feeding beef cattle,but with the results that higher average daily gain and lower dry matter intake,and feed conversion was relatively low.4?Using mixed silage combined banana stem and leaves with cassava dregs as roughage can increase the body's utilization of energy,but there was no significant difference on the liver function?renal function and lipid metabolism.
