Clinical Study On Treatment Of Posterior Circulation Ischemia Vertigo (Phlegm And Blood Blocking Orifices Type) From Resolving Phlegm And Activating Blood

Purpose: The study is to observe clinical curative effect and safety of Huatan Huoxue Dingxuan Decoction in the treatment of posterior circulation ischemic vertigo(phlegm and static blood blocking orifices).Method: According to the entry criteria,72 cases of posterior circulation ischemia vertigo(phlegm and static blood blocking orifices)were selected and randomly divided into treatment group and control group.Treatment group was treated with Huatan Huoxue Dingxuan Decoction,each 100 ml,taken once in the morning and evening respectively.Control group was given Betahistine Mesylate 6mg,three times a day.The course for treatment was 14 days.The curative effect and safety were observed before and after treatment and the data were performed statistical analysis.Result: The vertigo severity score of treatment group and control group before and after treatment was compared,and the difference has statistical significance(P<0.05).The vertigo severity score between treatment group and control group after the treatment was compared,and the difference has statistical significance(P<0.05).The single TCM syndrome integral of treatment group before and after treatment was compared,with statistical difference(P<0.05).The single TCM syndrome integral between treatment group and control group after the treatment was compared,with statistical difference(P<0.05).The total effective rate of TCM syndrome between treatment group and control group was compared,with statistical difference(P<0.05).TCD index improvement of treatment group and control group before and after treatment was compared,and the difference has statistical significance(P<0.05).TCD index improvement between treatment group and control group after the treatment was compared,with statistical difference(P<0.05).There were no adverse reactions and toxic side effects in both groups.The study indicated that the improvement of vertigo severity,TCM syndrome and TCD related indexes in patients with posterior circulation ischemic vertigo of treatment group were better than those of control group.Conclusion: Based on the therapeutic principle of resolving phlegm and promoting blood circulation,the application of Huatan Huoxue Dingxuan Decoction has definite curative effect in the treatment of posterior circulation ischemic vertigo(phlegm and static bloodblocking orifices),with no adverse reactions and toxic side effects.
