ObjectiveBy setting the treatment group and the placebo control group randomly, observing the therapeutic effect of Ultra-low Frequency Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation on Non-compensatory Tinnitus in comparison, to provide the basis for clinical application.Methods78 Non-compensatory Tinnitus patients which met the criteria were randomly divided into the treatment group(n=40) and the control group(n=38). Two groups were treated with active stimulus and sham stimulus treatment for 2 weeks(14days) respectively. The therapeutic comprehensive effects were assessed by Tinnitus Handicap Inventory,Self-Rating Anxiety Scale and Visual Analog Loudness Scale(0-100) at four time points:before treatment, the second week after treatment, the sixth week after treatment. and the twelfth week after treatment. Results Compared with the time before treatment and the control group at the corresponding time.the follow-up scores of THI. SAS and VAS in the treatment group were significantly lower at 2 weeks.6weeks and 12 weeks. And the statistically significance was also found in the difference (P<0.05).There was no statistically significance in the control group before and after the treatment (P>0.05).12 weeks after the treatment, the THI rating of25 patients in the treatment group had decreased 20 points or more. While there was only 3 patients in the control group had decreased 20 points or more. Therefore the effective rate was 62.50%and 7.89% respectively. The comparison between the two groups was statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion Ultra-low Frequency Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation can effectively improve the secondary symptoms of Non-compensatory Tinnitus, to help the patients adapt the tinnitus and improve their quality of life. It is safe in clinical treatmentand can be widely used.
