Cl Inical Research On Dysl Ip Idemia By Catgut Embedding Therapy Of Shu-Mu Points

ObjectiveThis study is to investigate clinical effect of Shu-Mu points catgut embedding on hyperlipidemia.To compare the therapeutic effects of Shu-Mu points catgut embedding therapy combine Atorvastatin Calcium(Lipitor)and Lipitor in treating hyperlipidemia.And illustrating the clinical significance of acupoint catgut embedding therapy for hyperlipidemia from blood lipid and TCM clinical symptoms.MethodsAll patients(n=60)were randomized into treatment group(n=30)and control group(n=30).Both groups was given the therapeutic life-style changes(TLC)and taken Lipitor.The treatment group was given Shu-Mu points catgut embedding therapy(acupoint group 1:BL20,LR13,BL18,LR14;acupoint group 2:BL21,CV12;BL23,GB25),two groups of points were alternately used for treatment,all acupoints were taken both sides except CV12,while the control group was treated by "sham" catgut embedding therapy with the same acupoints selection.Both groups were treated once a week,4 times as a course of treatment.The clinical effects was evaluated by using blood lipid(TC,TG,HDL-C and LDL-C)and TCM symptom rating scale.SPSS 21 statistical software was used for data analysis.Results1.Baseline data evaluation:the general information(gender,age,course of disease,syndrome differentiation type)of two groups before treatment were comparable by chi square test,t-test,Wilcoxon rank sum test and Fisher' s exact test(P>0.05).2.Clinical effects evaluation:in the laboratory examination,8 cases were clinically controlled,markedly effective in 20 cases and 2 cases effective in treatment group with the total effective rate was 100%.While in control group,clinical control in 2 cases,24 cases were markedly effective and 4 cases effective,the total effective rate was 100%.By the rank sum test,significant difference of laboratory examination was found in two groups(P<0.05).In the TCM clinical symptoms,3 cases were markedly effective,effective in 19 cases and 8 cases ineffective in treatment group,the total effective rate was 63.33%.While in the control group,effective in 10 cases,20 cases ineffective and total effective rate was 33.33%.By the rank sum test,significant difference of TCM clinical efficacy was found in two groups(P<0.05).This shows Shu-Mu points catgut embedding therapy combined with Lipitor group can regulate the blood lipid and TCM clinical symptoms effect in patients with hyperlipidemia,which is more effective than simple Lipitor group.3.The two groups were comparable before treatment in blood lipid.It showed significant differences(P<0.05)before and after treatment intra group and inter group.After treatment it showed that TC,TG,LDL-C and HDL-C level were all improved significantly(all P<0.05)in both groups.In the terms of regulating TG and HDL-C,the two groups has the similar effects,while in improving TC and LDL-C Shu-Mu points catgut embedding therapy combine with Lipitor group was more effective than simple Lipitor group.It shows the effect of combined treatment is more obvious and comprehensive.4.Comparing the scores of TCM clinical symptom rating scale between the two groups,the difference were not significant before the treatment while it shows a apparent difference intra group and inter groups after treatment.Both groups achieved an obvious curative effect as well as the treatment group had outstanding performance in improving the TCM clinical symptoms.ConclusionBlood lipid and TCM clinical symptoms could be regulated by Shu-Mu points catgut embedding therapy combine with Lipitor and simple taking Lipitor in varying degrees,the effect of combined group is more effective and comprehensive that can be used wildly in clinical.
