Clinical Application Of Multimodality Therapy To The Recovery Of Eye-surrounding Rejuvenation Of Mid-aged And Older Patients

BackgroundThe rejuvenation surgery on eye-surrounding has been accepted by more and more common people,due to its mature surgical methods of improving upper eyelid drooping,eyebrows slacking and eyelid bag.When injection beauty project is blazingly fast in recent years,both botulinum toxin type A and hyaluronic acid become applied more and more widely and they play a positive role in the treatment of facial dynamic and static wrinkles.However,how to combine the traditional surgical treatment with the non-surgical treatment for the improvement of the aging eye-surrounding rejuvenation,has no uniform treatment standards yet.This question is still at the stage of exploration.ObjectiveWe explore the individual multimodality therapy of the improvement of eye-surrounding rejuvenation by considering it as a whole,and recovery the eye-surrounding rejuvenation by resorting to the repaired and reconstructed therapeutic schedule.MethodsConsidering 46 cases of surgical outpatient: 40 females and 6 males,they are 35~65 years old,and all of them show different levels of eye-surrounding aging.According to the degree of the upper and lower eyelid aging and ptosis of eyebrows,we select the appropriate surgical incision and take four surgical methods: double eyelid incision,eyebrow incision,lower eyelid incision and lower eyelid conjunctiva incision.Considering the specific circumstances such as removal of loose skin,bulging orbital fat and loose sagging orbicularis oculi muscle,these patients are divided into two groups.For the one group,the patients is injected with the volume of 20 ~ 36 u botulinum toxin type A,and of 1 ~ 2 ml hyaluronic acid once a week.The other group has no surgical treatment.ResultsThe results obtained from the 46 patients show that 22 cases of double eyelid incision improved upper eyelid relaxation,4 cases of eyebrow incision improve their eyebrows,14 cases under the lower eyelid incision improved their lower eyelid bags,and 6 cases of lower eyelid conjunctiva incision improved the lower eyelid bags.Especially,the patients who have been injected by the botulinum toxin type A and hyaluronic acid after operation shows fewer wrinkles of eye-surrounding,and thus have significantly higher satisfaction than those who only have simple treatment surgery.Furthermore,we found that the eye-surrounding aging of the patients who have been followed up for 3~12 moths,are all improved significantly and a satisfactory effect is obtained.ConclusionFor the treatment of eye-surrounding aging,a better surgical effect with minimally invasive can be achieved by respiting to formulating the scheme of a individual multimodality therapy and selecting a appropriate surgical treatment methods such as the combination of appropriate surgery with non-surgical treatment.
