Curative Effect Of High Intensity Focused Ultrasound On Perennial Allergic Rhinitis:A Meta-analysis

Objective: To make a systematic review and meta analysis about the effect of high intensity focused ultrasound(HIFU)for the treatment of perennial allergic rhinit(PAR).Method: We searched the database and science periodical by computer and handwork for related articles and clinical trials of high intensity focused ultrasound(HIFU)treating perennial allergic rhinit(PAR).Trial screening,quality assessment of included trials,and data extract were conducted.Statistical analysis was conducted by using RevMan 5.3 software.Result: At last 6 papers were choosed(all are observation study):(1)Patients in the overall efficiency,HIFU group and control group,48 weeks follow-up 4 combined efficient: OR=2.22,95%CI:1.52~3.24,It can be believed that HIFU treatment group is better than the control group;Follow-up of 24 weeks 3 piece efficient: OR=2.73,95%CI: 1.66~4.48,that can be thought that HIFU treatment group is better than the control group.(2)In patients with combined scores for evaluation of symptoms,signs,between HIFU group and control group combined efficient,Follow-up of 24 weeks 2 piece efficient:: SMD=-0.74,95%CI: 4-1.06~-0.41,that can be considered that HIFU treatment group is better than the control group.Conclusion: The meta analysis shows high intensity focused ultrasound(HIFU)tends to improve the Clinical efficacy of perennial allergic rhinit(PAR)as an adjunctive therapy.Due to the insufficient quantity of trials included,more RCTs of high quality and large scale are required.
