Studies On Chemical Constituents Of Phlomis Umbrosa Turcz.

Phlomis umbrosa Turcz.as the genus Phlomis umbrosa of Labiatae plants,which was widely used as traditional chinese medicine in folk.By consulting literature it indicates that Phlomis umbrosa Turcz.has the chemical constituents of phenylethanoid glycoside,iridoids,flavonoid,diterpenoids,lignans and essential oil.In recent years,the research shows that Phlomis umbrosa Turcz.has many the pharmacological effects,such as antibacterial activity,cytotoxic activity,anti-oxidant,analgesic and anti-inflammatory and expectorant.The herb and roots of Phlomis umbrosa Turcz.can be medicine,but the researchs were not comprehensive about its chemical components.This paper will do some works to explore the chemical constituents of Phlomis umbrosa Turcz.comprehensively,and provide the theoretic foundation for producing chinese patent medicine and local medicinal resources in gansu province.The petroleum ether part of alcohol extract of Phlomis umbrosa Turcz.were chose as research materials to study the chemical compositions.Dried materials were extracted by reflux with alcohol.The extracts were extracted with different solvents,such as petroleum ether,EtOAc and n?BuOH.At last,the extractions were obtained,petroleum ether extraction,EtOAc extraction,n?butanol extraction and water extraction.Then petroleum ether extraction were studied chemical compositions by silica gel,sephadex LH-20 chromatograph and TLC.The structures of compounds were identified on the basis of the physicochemical property and 1H?NMR,13C?NMR,ESI?MS.Eight compounds were obtained from petroleum ether part of alcohol extract of Phlomis umbrosa Turcz.seven compounds structures were identified as132-hydroxy-pheophytin A(1),?-sitosterol(2),Ursolic acid(3),Daucosterol(4),Oleanic acid(5),Stigmasterol(6),p-Hydroxybenzoic acid(7).Compound 1 was isolated from Labiatae for the first time,Compound 7 is firstly reported from Phlomis umbrosa Turcz.Due to time-short,only the isolation and identification of compounds were finished,the antibacterial activities of all the compounds will be done in the next experiment.
