Objective:To detect the expression of miRNA-31,miRNA-105 and miRNA-196b in plasma of patients with colorectal cancer(CRC)and to investigate the correlation of their expression and evaluate the relations of these microRNAs with clinical stage, lymph node metastasis and so on.Method:Plasma samples were obtained from 20 patients with CRC,10 patients with colorectal polyps and 10 healthy individuals for the present study. The plasma expression of miRNA-31,miRNA-105 and miRNA-196b in plasma samples of the three cohorts was detected using reverse transcription-quantitative polymerase chain reaction. The diagnostic value in the plasma of the patients with CRC was evaluated by receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curve.Result:1.The expressions of miRNA-31 and miRNA-196b in plasma of normal population, patients with CRC and colorectal polyps were no statistically significant difference(P>0.05).2.The expression of miRNA-105 in plasma of patients with CRC was significantly higher compared with the normal population and colorectal polyps, and there was statistically significant(P<0.05).3.The expression of miRNA-105 has no correlation with age, sex, the clinical stage and lymph node metastasis(P>0.05).4.ROC curve analysis demonstrated that, comparing patients with CRC with healthy individuals, the area under the curve of plasma miRNA-105 was 0.758,and its specificity and sensitivity were 60 and 90%(P=0.005).Conclusion:the results of the present study demonstrated that plasma miR-105 is upregulated in CRC,and may have an application as a diagnostic biomarker for patients with CRC.
