Along with the advance of science and technology, reinforcement of economic globalization, more and more Chinese people begin to like foreign literary works. Based on Nida's Functional Equivalence Theory, this report studies the translation of History of the Medieval World which was written by a famous American writer Bauer. It mainly introduces the related events taken place in Medieval World. What's more, they should have proficient translation skills, strong knowledge reserves and the ability of information screening from original text. All of these are necessary for the author to translate well in the future.
