The translation material of this translation project is Chapter 7 of Aid for Trade at a Glance 2015: Reducing trade costs for inclusive, sustainable growth, which is published on the official website of WTO. This Chapter specifies the difficulties faced by SMEs in international trade, especially high trade costs, and then discusses how aid-for-trade helps reduce the burden of trade costs on SMEs. Skopos theory is the supporting translation theory of this project; It provides an insight into the nature of translation as a purposeful activity, which is directly applicable to the translation of some information texts. This translation project includes four chapters. Chapter One elaborates on the background and significance of this project. Chapter Two specifies the supporting translation theory. Chapter Three describes the difficulties encountered and translation methods employed during the process. Chapter Four summarizes the lessons and enlightenment gained.
