This translation project report is based on the Translation of Revision History: Translation Trends in Wikipedia. This paper uses Brian Mossop's taxonomy of editing and revising procedures to study a corpus of translated articles in Wikipedia platform to determine how often transfer and language/style problems are present in these translations and assess how these problems are addressed. This report consists of four parts: Part one givesa general introduction of the translation project, including background and significance of the project. Part Two states the background of the source text, including an introduction to the author, the text type and linguistic features of the source text. Part Three involves translation theory: Newmark'communicative translation and semantic translation. Part Four covers the difficulties and methods. The difficulties lie in specialized terms andterminology. Part five concludes with the enlightenment and unsolved problems in the translation project. This project is aimed to provide researching materials in terms of the crowdsourcing translation study and lay a foundation for related practical translation.
