A Translation Report Of English Project Contracts From The Perspective Of Semantic Translation And Communicative Translation

This report is based on the English-Chinese translation of an excerpt from project contracts commissioned by Shandong Industrial Ceramics Research&Design Institute Co.,Ltd.Under the guidance of semantic translation and communicative translation,this report discusses the difficulties encountered during the translation process and puts forward relevant solutions,aiming to produce an accurate,adequate and readable target text.This report is divided into five sections.The first section describes the background,significance and structure of project contracts.The second section introduces preparations before translation.The third section discusses some examples from the perspective of semantic translation and communicative translation and then offers solutions to the difficulties encountered in translation.The fourth analyzes post-translation revision.Finally,this report concludes with a brief summary of what has been learnt from the translation of the translation project.
