Due to the lack of a real communicative context, the current spoken English class becomes boredom and tiring. Even there existed a lot of home and abroad relevant research on college oral English teaching, the study of oral English class based on flipped class model attracted enormous attention, but few research involved oral English class based on flipped class model,especially in the aspect of the students’ oral English ability.This study selected the author’s two non-English major sophomores(Civil Engineering class 3 and class 4) as the research object, class 3 as the comparative class, class 4 as experimental class. The experiment lasted about a semester. The data was input to SPSS 17.0 for the analysis of co-variance statistics and analysis of the result of the data. This study shows that a pretest scores, and flipped classroom oral English method can predict the effect of oral English teaching. The flipped classroom oral English method can improve the students’pronunciation and intonation, accuracy, comprehensive expression of the language. So we can safely conclude that flipped classroom oral English teaching method is better than traditional oral English class and the multimedia classroom teaching method. This study suggests that in English oral teaching, we should optimize the teaching mode, promote conversion of the teachers’role, organize students’ cooperative learning, autonomous learning and teachers’teaching time effectively, enhance students’ autonomous learning ability, and encourage diverse classroom activities in oral teaching.
