The development of information technology has brought about the revolution of education.A lot of schools in America have carried out the suited flipped classroom on the basis of the factors of their areas.The flower of flipped classroom is blooming all over the world.Pushed by the new technology and new curriculum reform,our country also catches up with the step of the flipped classroom.This action has given rise to new challenges and opportunities for the revolution of English teaching.The flipped classroom is to realize individualized teaching in the way of transforming the traditional classroom and flipping the arrangement of teaching structure.In essence,it is a kind of learning way that watches instructional videos before class.Students could arrange their own learning processes according to their own learning habits and personalities.So it could help students improve learning efficiency and develop the potential and overall ability of students furthest.Experiences in America have proved that the flipped classroom has been producing significant effect.However,the flipped classroom in our country has not yet been adopted on a wide scale.A number of teachers still have much confusion about the related concepts and models of the flipped classroom.Only teachers grasp this teaching method well can they use it effectively and really benefit each student.The author of the paper has done some research on some language teaching models and the flipped classroom models and combined the input and output of the second language to construct a flipped classroom for college English teaching,which describes detailedly about how to flip in real class and emphasizes the importance of application of English,and therefore could contribute to driving the development of English teaching revolution.The paper focuses on the research of the following two questions.The first question is whether or not the model of college English flipped classroom could uplift students’ English scores.The second question is whether or not the model of the flipped classroom could arouse students’ interest in learning.The author did an experiment on the two classes of non-English major students in Northwest Minzu University.The research indicates that the model of flipped classroom could improve English scores of students of the experiment class and motivate their learning interest,as proves that the model of flipped classroom is effective and could provide some teaching revelation to college English teaching. |
