The Flipped Classroom Model, as a promising instructional technology, promotes theteaching efficiency and the achievement of the teaching goal. Simultaneously, it realizes theindividualized learning so as to improve the communicative ability, autonomous learningability and cooperative learning ability. According to the reality of College English, the studytries to apply the Flipped Classroom Model to Chinese Culture Course for the purpose ofimproving the quality of education and the learning efficiency of students through literatureresearch, experimental research and action research. Furthermore, the study verifies thedifference caused by Flipped Classroom Model in various educational objectives, aiming atproviding some reference to the study of Flipped Classroom Model in teaching practice inCollege English.The thesis proposes the design of applying the Flipped Classroom Model to ChineseCulture Course on the basis of the current situation of Chinese culture teaching, andsummarizes overseas and domestic research of Flipped Classroom Model, as well as the theresearch objectives and significance. The theories about the Flipped Classroom Model arediscussed, including Mastery Learning Theory combined with Taxonomy of EducationalObjectives. The thesis also introduces the implementation strategy concluded from teachingpractice of Chinese Culture Course, including the production and delivery of teaching content,the organization of classroom teaching activities and the evaluation of learning efficiency.The teaching results of Flipped Classroom Model are analyzed from the perspectives ofQuantitative research and Qualitative research.Through analysis, the performance of experimental class is obviously higher than that ofcontrolled class, and the Flipped Classroom Model improves the effects of the elective coursein College English. Simultaneously, different teaching objectives are affected under the model,remember level unnoticeable yet understand level and complex level obvious. Lastly, FlippedClassroom Model gains learner acceptance, identifies the active position, provides thepersonalized learning environment and diverse learning style, and prompts the communicativecompetence effectively.
