Research On The Enlightenment Of Mencius Moral Education Thought To The Construction Of Civil Servants' Morality

The Third Plenary Session of 18 th Central committee of the CPC pointed out:to promote the modernization of the national governance system and capacity. The civil servants are the actual practitioners of national public power. It plays an important role strengthening the moral construction of themselves to promote the modernization of the national governance system and capacity, strive to build a service-oriented government, guide and standardize socialist morality construction. The ancient Chinese sages have proposed many theories about moral education thought. These theories have important impact to the Chinese' moral consciousness, moral behavior,moral standard.The Warring States period Confucian school Mencius thoughts on the moral education is the important content of ideological and theoretical system.Mencius put forward ideas about the moral education have important reference value for the current strengthen the construction of civil servants moral.This article other than the introduction is divided into three parts.The first chapter describes the background of Mencius moral education thought :social and family situation.Social aspects of Mencius history of Government control during the period of "national studies" has been gradually abandoned. Academic knowledge appeared move down phenomenon is no longer exclusive right within the ruling class minority groups. The rapid changes in society has produced many emerging Nobles groups. Their act to give lectures and spread cultural knowledge.The family, Mencius was brought by a good family education,which laid the foundation formed his theoretical system in the future.The second chapter describes the content of Mencius moral education thought.His moral education thought is to the congenital good for its philosophy implication and in order to implement the "kingly rule". The moral education should achieve two purposes: achievement the "Gentleman" moral character and professor "Benevolent Governance" mode. So, Mencius puts forward the core of moral education is to make people "clarifying human relations" and its reflected in the contents of moral education is to bring back the heart of compassion, a sense of shame, modesty and sense of right or wrong and put its spread and filling of became four kinds of morality:kindheartedness, righteousness, propriety and wisdom. Besides,Mencius puts forward the basic principles and methods of moral education.The third chapter describes the basic definition, character, theory origin of civil servants and the civil service ethics and strengthen the role of the construction of civil servants moral. We have put forward the positive revelation to moral construction of civil servants through the above summarizing Mencius' thought of moral education.
