Morrison School is the first mission school in China. It is a part of protestant missionary activities in China. The condition of Sino-western cultural exchanges affects its running process. Morrison School graduated some students whom study Chinese traditional culture and Western scientific culture. Then, the graduates promoted culture exchange between China and Western in modern times.This paper consists of an introduction, body and conclusion of three parts,including background of China, development process and the Contribution to the culture exchange between China and West of Morrison School.Chapter One Probes into the historical background of China, Catholic Missionaries' activities in China, the process of missionary activities by the Protestants. This chapter also involves the establish of Morrison Education Society.Chapter Two mainly introduces the preparatory activities by Morrison Education Society and the process of the school. In the final, this chapter discourses upon the reason of Morrison School closed.Chapter Three deals with educational method and content of education of Morrison School. Western educational system cultivated firstly a number of students who have been under the influence of neoteric education.Chapter Four explains the impact on the cultural and educational fields of school.This chapter consists of three parts: the content of education affected students' attitudes toward Chinese civilization and Western civilization, educational system affected neoteric education in China, promoted culture exchange between China and West.
