The reform of graduate trainging mechanism start in 2006, graduate entrance examination reform as an important part of which became the focus of all recruit units and scholars active explore actively. At the same year, the ministry of education issued a call that requires universities to strengthen the examination on students' comprehensive ability in the postgraduate reexamination, as well as make psychological evaluation on the students, in order to understand the examinee's psychological health, character, innovation ability, professional tendency, etc. It is in this context, this research explore actively the the selection criteria that the excellent qualities that is suitable to the study of graduate stage. By means of the psychological mature way to measure the quality of candidates.This research determine the following goals: Firstly, combined with the level of competence in postgraduate students toexpolre "Graduate Competency Questionnaire". Secondly, In order to improve the validity of the questionnaire, exploit a false identification scale in self-report tests because of participants affected behave in tests.Thirdly, by way of cluster sampling to investigate the candidates for postgraduate, confirmatory factor analysis was used to testify the construct validity.Finally, the candidates were invited to have the "Graduate Competency Questionnaire" by the way of e-mail after two weeks to analysis the demographic variables.After the research of postgraduate and preparing graduate, the results of this research are as follows:Firstly, "Graduate Competency Questionnaire" constitutes 4 dimensions: mental healty, study motivation, innovation quality, personal traits. Cronbach's Karen Bach alpha reliability coefficient of the scale is 0.79. The questionnaire has good reliability and validity. The index of confirmatory factor analysis is reasonable. Secondly, the false identification scale constitutes four items. Factor analysis and generalized analysis find that validity of the scale is good. Using Logistic regression analysis to determine the different line of the scale. In the process of scale using, can be combined with the actual requirements to determine the appropriate line. Thirdly, the average score from 3.8 to 4.3 on the dimensions and total score of “Graduate Competency Questionnaire". Candidates admitted there is no significant difference in gender, whether child, the family seat and other demographic variables.In summary, the "Graduate Competency Questionnaire " and " false identification Scale" conform to the requirements of statistical surveying,can be used in the practice of re-examination of graduate students.
