The Research On The Education Postgraduates' Competency Model's Construction And Confirmation

This research is based on the literature review,selecting the academic education postgraduates of generic normal university to be research objects,using open-ended questionnaire,job analysis,BEI as the methods to collect the competency factors of education postgraduates,and then establish the education postgraduates' initial competency model.Next,according to this competency model to work out a predicted education postgraduates' self-assessment questionnaire and use the exploratory factor analysis to predict the data processing to obtain competency factors of education postgraduates.According to the original model structure to identify the competency factors and exact subjects of questionnaire,forming education postgraduates' competency model and working out the formal questionnaire according to the result.Finally,validate the model,and analysis the differences in demographic variables of the education postgraduates' competency.Here are the conclusions:(1)There are multiple dimensions of the established competency model of education postgraduates which includes the following dimensions:achievement motivation,initiative,creative thinking,interpersonal communication,professional knowledge and skills,teamwork and practical ability;(2)The results of reliability,validity and factor analysis shows that the self-assessment questionnaire of education postgraduates' competency has great reliability and validity,and its structure is reasonable;(3)The education postgraduates' competency is totally good,and there are some differences in demographic variables of the competency of education postgraduate students: there exits significant differences on practical ability in terms of gender,but there exits significant differences on all dimensions in term of grades.
