A Study On The Model Of Psychology Postgraduate’s Competency

The research take the the semi-open questionnaire investigation, literatureanalysis,behavior event interview,to study and build the competency model ofpsychology postgraduate students.Conclusions of this research are as follows:(1)Bases on the Behavioral Event Interview (BEI),we build the competencymodel of psychology postgraduates students.The research found that the outstandingperformance and the performance of general psychology graduates can bedistinguished by the average grade and the highest level.(2)The competency model of psychology postgraduates includes fivedimensions.The five dimensions are specialty basic knowledges ofpsychology,individual abilities, achievement orientation,the capacity for scientificresearch and responsibility.These dimensions including14competencies,they areself-confidence, sense of responsibility, interpersonal understanding, initiative andinformation seeking ability, teamwork, professional knowledge and skills,achievement orientation, professional interests and enthusiasm, scientific researchability, self-directed learning, execution, introspection and planning.
