A Report On The Interpretation Preparation For The Seventh China-ASEAN Education Cooperation Week Opening Speech

Exchanges between universities are becoming more and more frequent and all kinds of China International Joint Education Programs emerge in a large number.Colleges and universities have been referred as the land of world's cultures resource and gathering place to spread culture. Interpretation is inevitable and indispensable in international exchange between colleges and universities from abroad. In this paper, the author simulates the minister's speech on the opening ceremony of the Seventh China ASEAN Education Cooperation Week in the form of interpretation simulation,analyzing the performance of Chinese to English consecutive interpretation in the speech and faithfully reflecting Chinese to English interpretation problems appear in the process of consecutive interpretation.Interpretation preparation is an important link to improve the quality of consecutive interpretation. In the first chapter, the author briefly describes the task of interpretation and introduces the characteristics of interpreting, raises the target of the simulation. In the second chapter, the author specifically describes the content of interpretation preparation, makes a more detailed explanation to interpretation preparation, and several aspects of preparation on the consecutive interpretation were made. In the third chapter, on-the-spot interpretation strategy application of consecutive interpretation are introduced. In the forth chapter, expounds the instances of consecutive interpretation, describes the instance of consecutive interpretation, and then lists the difficulties need to be solved in the interpretation process. The last chapter is the conclusion of this paper: first of all, the author emphasizes the importance of interpreters in culture and education exchange, and then raises the clear goal of this paper that is the importance of interpretation preparation in consecutive interpretation.
